Trump indictment watch, a Biden veto, Covid/Ebola origin update
And Piers Morgan gets Ron DeSantis to swing at Trump
On today’s episode of Counter Points, we covered the brewing conflict between Ron DeSanctimonious and Trump, which entered a new phase with Meatball Ron (sorry, I can’t help it) hitting back in an interview with Piers Morgan. We also talked about new rail safety legislation, the Trump indictment that may or may not be looming, and Biden’s first veto – a rejection of a rejection of a Labor Department rule that allows investment fund managers to take climate, social, and governance scores into consideration. The rejection of the rejection means the rule will go into effect.
And we interviewed journalist Sam Husseini and virologist Jonathan Latham about their jointly produced article that explores the shockingly unsolved origin of the 2014 Ebola. For a primer, here’s my segment on the last week. We also talked to them about the latest Covid origin news.
Going forward, I’m able to offer paid subscribers to this newsletter early, ad-free access to the full Counter Points show – the morning show I co-host on Wednesdays with Emily Jashinsky. We produce about eight segments, a few of which are posted on Wednesday, then most of the rest roll out through the weekend. Subscribers get a private link to watch the whole thing right away. Or you can listen to the podcast version free on any podcast platform, just search for Breaking Points.
