Why impeachment is happening now

Democrats in the House went, in the span of a few days, from firm resistance to the idea of impeaching Trump, to launching full-steam-ahead into impeachment proceedings. It may seem disorienting, but there was an internal rationale to it all, and it goes far beyond Hunter Biden and Ukraine. My story on how it happened behind the scenes is here.

In the comment section of last night’s newsletter, someone asked me how they could donate to vulnerable Democrats who have called for impeachment.
